EVENTS & MUSEOGRAPHY
Hispanic Heritage Month
Viroqua, Wisconsin
Image above.- It was needed an image that communicated Hispanic identity but out of the stereotypes. The poster must have include the program. The QR code was created to go to the give the complete information and access to the live cultural conversations.
Besides graphic design work, I had the opportunity to be part of the organizers and to work on defining the voice of the branding. We decided to create a marketing strategy using printing and social media materials to arrive to our market. Part of this strategy was the crossposting on Facebook, doing a synergy with the Mexican Cultural Institute of the Embassy of Mexico in Washington DC.
This was part of the Mexican Folk Art Collective (@folkartcollective), McIntosh Memorial Library and Consulate of Mexico in Milwaukee collaboration.
Día de Los Muertos Celebration
Viola, Wisconsin
Image above.-Besides graphic design work, I had the opportunity to be part of the organizers and to work on defining the voice of the branding. This was part of the image that we use on an outdoor free community event, getting a grant from Wisconsin Humanities. The image created communicates the connection with this tradition through art and nature. This was a collaboration between Driftless Curiosity, inc., the Mexican Folk Art Collective, the McIntosh Memorial Library and the Consulate of Mexico in Milwaukee.
